How to take it
  • Injected subcutaneously or intramuscularly on the schedule your physician sets — commonly weekly rather than daily.
  • Use aseptic technique and rotate the site with every dose — injection-site reactions are the most common complaint, and rotating is what keeps them mild.
  • Lipo-C supports a plan rather than replacing one — it works alongside your nutrition and activity, not instead of them. Do not change your dose or frequency on your own.
Potential side effects

Injection-site reactions are the most commonly reported effect — redness, itching, pain, bruising or swelling where you inject — and rotating sites usually keeps them mild. Mild stomach upset, nausea, loose stools, flushing, headache and a temporary metallic or fishy taste or body odour are also reported; the taste and odour come from choline and are harmless. Tell your physician about anything that persists or worsens, and seek care right away for a rash, swelling or trouble breathing.

Common questions

What is Lipo-C?
Lipo-C is a compounded lipotropic injection — a blend of nutrients that commonly includes choline, inositol and methionine along with B vitamins. These are nutrients your body already uses in normal fat handling and energy metabolism. It’s prescribed at a provider’s discretion as part of a broader wellness plan.
Is Lipo-C a weight-loss medication?
No. Lipo-C is a nutrient blend, not a weight-loss drug, and it isn’t a substitute for one. It’s used to support normal metabolic function alongside nutrition, movement and the rest of your plan — any claim that an injection on its own produces weight loss is worth treating with skepticism, wherever you see it.
How often do I take it?
On the schedule your physician sets — commonly weekly, given as a subcutaneous or intramuscular injection. Rotate the site with every dose.
How long before I notice anything?
Responses vary and nothing is guaranteed. Lipo-C is a supporting piece of a plan rather than the plan itself, so it’s best judged alongside your nutrition and activity over time. Your physician will set expectations at scheduled check-ins.
Who should not take Lipo-C?
It isn’t appropriate if you’ve had an allergic reaction to any component, including cobalt or vitamin B12, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Tell your provider if you have liver or kidney disease, or a condition affecting how your body handles methionine, such as homocystinuria.
Do I need insurance?
No. Riovie does not bill insurance. The price you’re presented is the price you pay, plus applicable taxes where required. HSA or FSA eligibility can apply to some program components — we recommend checking with your plan administrator before purchase.
Is this medical advice?
No. This is educational content, not medical advice. Lipo-C is a prescription product — always follow the recommendations of your licensed healthcare provider, which is exactly what the Riovie care team provides.

Consult a licensed provider. Prescription required. Not for everyone.
